Support: Scholarship
Seandrick

At 20, I left college because I simply could not afford to stay. Five years later, I returned with a renewed sense of purpose and a determination to build a better future—not only for myself, but for the communities I hope to serve. Today, I am pursuing degrees in Construction Engineering Technology and Supply Chain Management, with a goal of helping create affordable housing for families who need it most.
The road back has not been easy. Financial hardship led to housing insecurity, including a period of homelessness while I searched for stable employment. There were moments when my future felt uncertain, but I refused to give up. Instead, I kept showing up—to class, to work, and to every opportunity that could move me forward. Through every setback, I learned that persistence is not about never falling down; it is about choosing to get back up every time.
The encouragement of instructor Carla Bradford helped restore my confidence after a five-year break from school, and this scholarship has done the same. More than financial support, it has provided hope, stability, and the reassurance that someone believes in my future.
“I would like to sincerely thank those whose generosity has helped make my path to a degree more accessible. Your support has not gone unnoticed, and I truly appreciate the investment you have made in my future. I will not take this opportunity for granted, and I am committed to making the most of it.”
After graduation, I hope to work in construction and building materials management, helping create projects that make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
