Supporting Across Campus

We take steps to meet the financial needs of students within Greenville Technical College’s doors. Over the past eight years, the Foundation has raised over $25 million in cash, gifts, pledges, and planned giving.

Giving to Students and the Community

Thanks to private donors, businesses, and fundraising, the Foundation developed new initiatives in our community to further education while making it financially accessible. These initiatives not only empower our students but also grow our community and local economy.

Adding Pathways to Success

The Foundation has actively worked alongside the Upstate community to bring about special initiatives for Greenville Technical College. Some of these include:

STAR (Student Assistance and Resources) Center

When sudden circumstances create emergency needs, the STAR Center provides financial assistance so students can stay on track academically. Students can receive financial assistance, groceries, and other resources to overcome unforeseen challenges.

Truist Culinary and Hospitality Innovation (CHI) Center

Designed to bring inclusive economic mobility and workforce development to West Greenville, CHI is a neighborhood-based venue delivering recreational classes for home cooks, corporate team-building, and job training in the heart of the community.

The African American Male Scholars Initiative (AAMSI)

This initiative was designed to increase academic success rates. AAMSI provides intensive case management and personalized support services that help participants overcome barriers, develop academic and career pathways, and graduate on time.

The West Greenville School Project

Together with CHI, the West Greenville School (WGS) is now offering therapeutic resources for students with significant emotional and behavioral disabilities. They offer agriculture and food preparation career pathways.
