I chose Greenville Technical College because it was affordable and flexible, exactly what I needed as someone juggling full-time work and school. Every professor has been supportive, but Professor Lauren Davis made the biggest impact. She guided me through tough decisions and inspired me to be a role model, just like her.

My journey has been anything but easy. I grew up in a home filled with instability—an absent father, an emotionally abusive stepfather—but I’ve turned that pain into purpose. Those challenges didn’t break me—they built me.

When I received this scholarship, I felt a huge weight lifted. Financial aid isn’t always consistent, and this support gave me something I hadn’t felt in a while—relief and hope.

I was the first in my family to earn a high school diploma, and now I’m working toward a future in healthcare as a cardiac sonographer. I’m not just chasing a degree—I’m building a life I can be proud of.
