“When I found out that I had been accepted for this award, I could not wait to tell my entire family I had been chosen for a scholarship.”

Melissa knew she wanted to find a good career with a stable job that she loves without being in school for a long time. At 25, Melissa made the decision to attend Greenville Technical College. Inspired by her sister who works in the construction industry, Melissa decided to study Construction Engineering Technology (CET).

As an adult returning to school, Melissa paid her own way. During her last semester, Melissa was awarded the Bosch Endowed Scholarship. “This scholarship helped tremendously! Thank you for your confidence and willingness to help me achieve my goals.” says Melissa, who graduated in December 2020 with a 4.0 GPA and is now employed with LS3P, a multi-disciplinary firm offering architecture, interiors, and planning services, as a Specifications Writer. Melissa says she continues to learn and grow and “there’s never a dull moment.”
