I’ve wanted to become a nurse for as long as I can remember. Caring for others has always been my passion, and I earned my CNA license at age 23 with plans to continue my education. However, as I focused on raising my family, my dream of becoming a nurse was put on hold.

Now, with my children grown, I finally have the opportunity to pursue that dream. Returning to college as a wife, mother, and Nursing student has been both rewarding and challenging, but it has strengthened my determination to build a better future for myself and my family.

This scholarship has eased some of my financial burden, allowing me to reduce my work hours and focus more on my education. It has provided the encouragement and breathing room I need to stay on track and continue working toward a goal that has been years in the making.

After completing my nursing courses, I plan to enter the workforce and continue my education. My long-term goal is to earn a bachelor’s degree and eventually become a Nurse Practitioner.
