Greenville Tech Foundation Begins Countdown to the First Ever Greenville Tech Giving Day
October 16, 2023 (GREENVILLE, SC) – Established in 1973, the Greenville Tech Foundation supports Greenville Technical College’s mission of transforming students’ lives and helping the community thrive. In honor of its 50th Anniversary, the Foundation is launching a 50-day countdown on social media that will conclude on December 5, 2023, the first-ever Greenville Tech Giving Day.
In partnership with Greenville Technical College, the goal of this campaign is to expand the organization’s reach and raise awareness of the many ways the Foundation and Greenville Technical College are fostering community impact, inspiring personal transformation, and expanding access to education for all.
“For 50 years now, the work of the Foundation has empowered countless students through education,” said Ann Wright, Greenville Tech Foundation VP for Advancement. “With our first-ever Greenville Tech Giving Day campaign, we hope to not only raise awareness, but also to engage the greater Greenville community to change the course of even more students’ lives.”
During the 50-day countdown, the Foundation will share fun facts, milestones, video messages from students and board members, stories of impact from the past 50 years, and more.
“Often, there are barriers that stand in the way of success for Greenville Technical College students, and the Foundation helps to remove them through scholarships, emergency assistance, and innovative programs,” said Dr. Keith Miller, president of Greenville Technical College. “I look forward to seeing even more of our students’ lives transformed through the generosity of the Greenville community on Greenville Tech Giving Day.”
