David Sudduth: A True Champion for Greenville Technical College Students
Please join us in congratulating our own David Sudduth, who was recognized as a recipient of the Greenville Technical College “Unsung Hero” Award at the most recent Area Commission meeting!
Now in his 6th year as a Board member at the Greenville Tech Foundation (where he has never missed a Board meeting during his tenure), David epitomizes the spirit of the Unsung Hero award through his dedicated, unselfish leadership and commitment to the Foundation’s mission of expanding access to education for Greenville Technical College’s students.
David’s commitment to the college and our students is evident on many fronts: from the establishment of the Sudduth Family Endowed Scholarship, to his support of the Student Emergency Needs initiative and the AAMSI program, to the numerous college events he supports by showing up and being present for our students. David truly “walks the walk” when it comes to supporting the success of our students.
David has also been an exceptional leader of the Foundation Board of Directors. He has worked with Foundation leadership to restructure our board, better positioning the group to raise both awareness and funds in support of the college and our students. He worked actively as a member of the Marketing & Communications Committee to develop the Foundation’s new mission and vision statements, which will guide the Foundation for years to come – as we envision a future where everyone has the resources and support they need to attain an advanced education.
David is a true relationship-builder, which has impacted the Foundation’s cohesiveness and our relationship with the college and Area Commission. He has made a concerted effort to strengthen effective communication between the governing bodies of the Foundation and College.
Great ideas, energy, and motivation to reach our objectives are dependent on having the right leader in place for direction and guidance. David Sudduth is that leader. It’s fitting that David Sudduth should be recognized during his final year as Chairman. Please join us in recognizing David’s long-lasting impact on the college, our students, and our Greenville Tech Foundation.
